"Living in Faith Everyday" (L.I.F.E.) is a series of four four-hour classes that will help you develop a lifestyle of dis­cipleship. If you take all four L.I.F.E. classes, you will be on your way to being the kind of disciple God wants and the world needs. The premise behind the L.I.F.E. series is that the better we understand our purpose and the better we live out that purpose, the healthier and happier we are, and the more closely the church reflects what Jesus created it for.  L.I.F.E. is an investment of time and effort so that you can have upward momentum for living an awesome Christian life.  It means helping you grow into the kind of Christian you've always dreamed of becoming, the kind of Christian God made you to be, and the kind of Christians the world needs us to be if we're going to help build the Kingdom of God. We build the Kingdom of God by investing in people and building them up. The L.I.F.E. classes will build you up in ways you never imagined were possible....but you always hoped were true. 

L.I.F.E. 101 explores church membership. In four one hour sessions, you will learn the basics of what it means to be a Christian, what it means to be a United Methodist Christian, and what it looks like to live out your Christian faith at First UMC. We used to call this the "new" member class. But this is stuff that all members need to know and be a part of. So if you're a member of the church, or you're thinking about joining this church, or you're just curious to know what this church thinks the Christian faith looks like and how to live it, sign up for L.I.F.E. 101. 

L.I.F.E. 201 is the second class in the series; it's called "A Closer Walk with God." You will be mentored in the basic disciplines and healthy spiritual habits we all need to grow, put down roots, and begin bearing fruit in your faith. As you begin to practice what we offer in L.I.F.E. 201 you will have all the momentum you need to continue your upward ascent toward a life of devotion and unimagined joy. 

L.I.F.E. 301 is called "Discovering My God-Given Ministry." Here's an awesome truth: None of us are here by accident. God created every single one of us at this time and for a reason. God has something He wants you to do in this place and at this time so that God's work in the world can get done. You are the hands and feet of Jesus. You have a ministry! And when you find your ministry and you start doing it, life becomes fulfilling, fruitful, joyful, and above all meaningful. L.I.F.E. 301 will help you discover your unique ministry and give you the tools to start doing it. 

Finally,

L.I F.E. 401 is called "Understanding My Life Mission." Did you know you have a life mission? You do? Jesus said, "Go make disciples." Jesus said, "You shall be my witnesses." In other words, it is our mission to find someone who doesn't know the love of God, who doesn't have a relationship with Jesus Christ ... and invest yourself in their life so that they can experience the same joy and hope we have. L.I.F.E. 401 will teach you how to do that in a way that is natural to how God made you, and will actually attract people to Jesus instead of making them run away.
